~ PLANTS FOR SALE ~

Spider Plant Babies

SEND AN EMAIL VIA THE FORM BELOW AND I WILL GET BACK WITH YOU TO LET YOU KNOW HOW MANY WE HAVE LEFT.

NO HOLDS – FIRST COME – FIRST SERVE

I have many babies from my spider plants that are for sale. Above you can see a batch in a ‘bowl’ like container, just thriving as well as individual plants so you can get an idea of the health of these plants and the different sizes I have available.

These plant babies are very healthy and very well rooted. I am asking $2.00 each, and a minimum of 5 plants for local pickups (Jackson, NJ); otherwise I am asking $12.99 for five plants if you want them shipped to you.

About These Plants:

These are healthy starter-size striped SPIDER or AIRPLANE plant. They are green on the outer edges and white, or pale yellow, in the middle of the leaves. Your plant will  look like those in the photos, and will be approximately 4″ – 7″ tall.

As a very hardy plan, they can multiply rapidly and are easy to grow, requiring very little maintenance. Just water a couple of times a week (when the soil is dry), and keep them in full to partial sun. Do not keep in the hot sun all day- it will burn the leaves. I put mine out on the covered balcony for the summer, where they do very well (just don’t forget to water them!)

As seen in the photo, they all have very healthy root systems. Soon they will sprout a stem with small white flowers, then a new plant will then  form at the end of the stem.

Did you know that the Spider Plant is one of the best house plants to filter the air in your home? It produces Oxygen from CO2 and it also absorbs benzene, formaldehyde and/or trichloroethylene! (source: http://www.treehugger.com/green-food/best-air-filtering-house-plants-according-to-nasa.html)

Payment & Shipping

Shipping:

I will be happy to mail these plants to you, just send me an email using the form on the right and include your zip code. I will reply with the shipping cost.

If you wish to move forward with the purchase, I will send you an invoice via PayPal. After you submit your payment, the plant will be prepared and to you within 3 business days.

Your plant(s) will be shipped wrapped and protected, with bare roots and a small amount of moist dirt around the roots; this will save $ on shipping for you yet leave familiar ‘minerals’ on the roots for their trip.

Please know that I only mail plants when the weather is reasonable (between 40-75 degrees); this will help ensure a safe trip for them to your home.

Local Pickup:

If you live local to Jackson, NJ, I  will be happy to meet you at the WaWa down the street from Six Flags Great Adventure, with your plants. Payment (cash) is due at that time.

Feel free to send me an email with any questions you may have. i

Disclaimer:

I will send you photos, if desired, of the plants prior to shipping so you can see exactly what you will be getting. I can not be responsible for the condition of the plants when they arrive as I have no control over how the carrier will treat your package, although well packed and marked. If you have any issues, please contact the carrier first.

Note: Discounts available for purchases more than 10 plants.

Ideas/Uses for These Plants:

Make Your Own Basket:
Just five small spider plants will turn into a beautiful basket of hanging spider plants. They look beautiful in the home and/or on your patio in the Spring through Fall. I recommend you adding a self-watering bottle to help keep your plants hydrated in the warmer weather.

DIY Party Flavors:
Need a party favor for an upcoming event? You can buy small, or even tiny clay pots (Amazon, Michaels, AC Moore, etc.) and plant 1-2 of these healthy baby spider plants in each pot using dirt recommended for household plants (Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart). Wrap a ribbon around each one coordinating the color with your event, maybe put a small bee ‘pic’ in each one along with a small ‘Thank you’ card. There you have it… an inexpensive yet useful and beautiful party favor your family and friends will enjoy long after the event!
