Gail's Aquaponic Garden

Gardening is a place where you find yourself when you try to lose yourself. -Alice Sebold

Welcome to my Back Yard Garden!

This website is dedicated to helping others who are interested in learning/sharing information about Aquaponic gardens, Hydroponics, self-watering bucket systems, Vermiculture, etc.

Are you growing your own fruits & veggies? Tired of weeding, preparing the ground every Spring and cleaning up every Fall?  Consider switching from a traditional garden to an Aquaponic garden.

Aquaponics is a chemical & pesticide-free gardening method that uses 90% less water then conventional (dirt)  gardening and exceeds the USDA organic standard requirements. And the best part is that there is little weeding, compared to traditional gardening!

Our primary system is made from large stock tanks and other items you can purchase locally and at reasonable prices. At times we sell off excess items and fish to help supplement our hobby.

Excuse me while I redesign my site. Check back often as there is a lot I’ll be adding. You can access the original website .

Meanwhile, if you are interested in purchasing tilapia, please contact me using the form to the right and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

NOTE: Tilapia pricing is below- the pricing and number of fish available on the old website is outdated and should be ignored.

As of June 4th, 2018:
We have the following Tilapia available:

  • 10 Adults
  • Appx 75 Juniors
  • Appx 150 Fingerlings
  • Appx 30 fry.

a system of aquaculture in which the waste produced by farmed fish or other aquatic animals supplies nutrients for plants grown hydroponically, which in turn purify the water.
